Leon Goodwin (Director)

Educated at the prestigious school of the built environment at Bristol University, Leon commenced his professional career working for a number of consulting firms in central London advising a range of clients from investment banks to social housing providers. This gave him a wealth of experience before emigrating to New Zealand with his family in 2011. Leon has gained invaluable experience over a number of years consulting for the largest building surveying consultancy in New Zealand. Leon loves getting to work advising owners on how to address building failures such as weathertightness, earthquake damage and other issues, and more importantly, how the needs of the client are met in a concise and practical way.

Leon is a Chartered and Registered Building Surveyor, Qualified construction Project Manager, Member of the construction Law society of New Zealand and licensed drone pilot.

Chris Ross (Director)

Ignited by his interest in the built environment watching the TV series “Property Ladder” as an adolescent. He initially set out to learn a trade in carpentry but eventually resumed further education and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ulster in N. Ireland in the field of building surveying. His professional career began in building control (or council as kiwi folk say) before relocating to Aotearoa in 2009, were he practiced within a large multi-disciplined building consultancy for over 15 years (as building surveyor, senior project manager & expert witness). This journey has ultimately equipped him with the experience and technical knowledge that our clients know and trust upon for reliable property related advice.

Chris is affiliated with various professional bodies; he is a registered building surveyor with the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors (NZIBs), an associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS) and a member of the society of construction law New Zealand (SCL).
